Our club is involved in every aspect of life with Cavaliers. You can likely find several people who share your common interests among our group. If you just enjoy your Cavalier as a pet and companion, you will find the majority of our members are dedicated to spending quality time with their dogs, just hanging out, going on walks and snuggling.

If you are interested in showing your dog, you will find many members who will enjoy helping you learn the ropes. Whether your competition interests are in the conformation show ring, in agility, rally classes or obedience competitions, you will find others to share your enthusiasm. Our club hosts a large Cavalier Specialty show each year that is attended by owners and exhibitors from all over the country.

Our club also hosts regular social outings with our members and their dogs. Known as a "Fun Day in the Park," these events are held in a beautiful park setting where we have lunch, hold fun contests with our dogs like "Longest Ears," "Fastest Biscuit Eater," "Furriest Feet," and "Best Doggie Smoocher." We often hold a Cavalier doggie costume contest and we always have an educational program to learn something new. Our agility folks set up an agility course and help you teach your dog to work the obstacles. Our show exhibitors may teach you how to groom your Cavalier so that he looks like a show dog or how to properly clean those lovely Cavalier ears. And we always have a fun raffle for great prizes. Our fun days are generally held in the Spring and the Fall when Houston has its best weather.

Our club's bi-monthly meetings are more than just catching up with club business. Held at local restaurants with private rooms, members socialize and catch up on the latest and then after the club business is done, we usually have a speaker on some interesting topic. Recent topics have included the new Texas licensing laws for people involved in breeding dogs, Chiropractors for dogs, legal aspects of owning a dog in an urban area, and how to get your Cavalier certified as a therapy dog.
