"Poppy"
Poppy is a 9 year-old Blenheim (brown and white) spayed female. She is originally from Rotterdam, Holland, where her human parents were living when they adopted her from a breeder. Unfortunately, her human mother passed away unexpectedly this year, and shortly thereafter her human father was transferred to southern Africa for his job. Because he was concerned about the quality of life the dogs would have in a remote country and that he might not have access to quality veterinary care, he voluntarily relinquished Poppy and her "brother" Bently to be rehomed. Despite being a little chubby and having lost a few teeth, Poppy is a gorgeous, healthy, and active dog who exudes love and good cheer almost constantly. She loves rawhide bones, playing fetch, and snuggling with her humans. She is housebroken, rides well in the car, and walks happily on a leash. She barks at doorbells, squirrels, and unusual noises and spins around when her food bowl is being prepared. She is accustomed to being allowed on furniture and sleeping with her humans. Poppy gets along well with other dogs and cats and is friendly towards children. She is looking for a forever family consisting of adults or adults with older children and possibly an animal sibling or two.

"Bently"
Bently is an 11 year-old Blenheim (brown and white) neutered male. He was rescued from a neglectful prior owner at age 5 and adopted by loving human parents. Unfortunately, his human mother passed away unexpectedly this year, and shortly thereafter his human father was transferred to southern Africa for his job. Because he was concerned about the quality of life the dogs would have in a remote country and that he might not have access to quality veterinary care, he voluntarily relinquished Bently and his "sister" Poppy to be rehomed. Despite being a little plump and having lost his teeth, Bently is a lively, happy, playful fellow who enjoys nothing more than carrying a stuffed toy around in his mouth or playing fetch for hours. He is in exceptional health for his age with no signs of heart problems or arthritis, his only minor affliction being a chronic "cherry eye" which does not cause him any trouble. He is very affectionate towards humans and tolerates other dogs and cats well. He is housebroken, rides well in the car, and walks easily on a leash. He does not bark very much, except at doorbells or odd sounds. He eats dry food that has been softened with a little water and small, soft treats without trouble. He is looking for an active forever family that will toss balls for him to fetch every day, allow him to loll on the furniture at will, and sleep next to a warm human at night.

"Spinner"
Spinner is a 6 year-old Blenheim (brown and white) neutered male. His human mother became ill with cancer and surrendered him out of concern that she would not be able to care for him much longer. He is a healthy and active dog who loves to cuddle with his humans, adults or children or both. He barks at doorbells and unusual noises and when his food bowl is being prepared. He also spins around wildly when he is excited (hence his name!). He is housebroken, rides well in the car, and is learning how to walk without pulling on his leash. He is allowed on furniture and likes to sleep next to his human's head, although he is crate-trained and willingly relaxes, eats, and sleeps in his crate. Spinner did not grow up with other dogs or animals, so he is looking for a forever home where he will either be the only dog or have just one other dog sibling. He would also love playing with children again.

"Princess"
Princess is a 5 year-old Blenheim (brown and white) spayed female. She was allegedly brought to Houston to live after being rescued from a puppy mill outside of Dallas and passed around to several different homes. Her most recent human mother gave her up because she was suffering severe health problems and could not adequately care for Princess. Princess is a healthy, exuberant little girl who is gradually learning what it means to be part of a family. She has an undershot jaw, so her face is more "puggy" than the average Cavalier but combined with her "freckles," she has a very expressive and unique appearance. She is housebroken and quick to learn new skills, such as walking on a leash or playing fetch. She desperately wants to please people and wants to be near them as much as possible. She wiggles her butt and tail almost nonstop when she is with her humans! She is allowed on furniture and has to sleep close to her humans' heads, although she is crate-trained too. She is comfortable with other dogs and cats but can be a little reserved around children. She is seeking a forever family of adults where she will be the only dog or have just one other dog sibling.

"Quirt"
Quirt (aka "Cromwell Lamb") is a 5 year-old Blenheim (brown and white) male who will be neutered before being placed in a forever home. He was adopted from a breeder by human parents who recently surrendered him because they decided that they could not give him the time and attention he deserved. He is a tall, healthy, docile boy who is crate-trained and obedient; he rarely barks and only gets noticeably excited if he sees a squirrel or it is time to eat. He is not fully housebroken, although he is good about signaling when he wants to go outside to potty. He will cuddle with his humans, but he typically waits until he is encouraged to sit on someone's lap rather than demand affection. He likes lounging and sleeping on one of his dog beds to joining his humans on the furniture. He is a bit shy around other dogs, cats, and children. He needs a forever home that is calm, quiet, and very much adults-only. He would also prefer being the sole dog and center of attention.
